Nearshore fishing stays close to Hilton Head's beaches, inlets and sounds, generally in calmer water. It is the most flexible way we fish and a favorite for families and groups with a range of experience.
Because the water is protected and the runs are short, nearshore trips are easy on first-timers and kids while still keeping serious anglers busy. It is also the most weather-friendly option, so it is often the right call when it is breezy offshore.
Shorter trip lengths pair nicely with nearshore fishing, though a longer trip lets us explore more water and switch tactics if the fish move.
